Jarom’s inspired understanding into the hearts and minds of others along with his energy and fun demeanor was what I wanted to bring to the “battlefield.”
Both are wonderful leaders, they complimented Heroic Youth’s “opposing army” perfectly.

Almost 30 years ago myself and a friend started a sword fighting group. After a few years of running it we both left to do other things. At some point Andrew took the leadership reigns after we left. I came from out of state to visit the group and was pleased to find it flourishing under his leadership with about 100 regular attendees.
Later I joined a youth leadership program called Heroic Youth. As part of the youths experience they get to participate in a full scale medieval style battle with swords and shields. I was asked to run the “opposing army.” I was in charge of training over 200 men.
I called on Andrew and Jarom to assist me. Andy has excellent crowd control abilities, understands and emphasizes the importance of safety, and balances that wonderfully with fun and skill.
